Gran Caffe Lollo

Visited for lunch today. We had the goats cheese, fig and prosciutto salad, a cappuccino and Americano and the pistachio cake and the chocolate cheesecake. The three food items and two large coffees came to £28, which I thought good value. The coffee was great and the chocolate cheesecake delicious. The atmosphere was buzzy and the service friendly, with the typical warm welcome from the owners. A great addition to Morpeth and I can see it becoming a regular treat!

I like this place! It’s clean and spacious. Plenty of room to push a pram through to the back of the seating area, where you can find some cosy alcoves. The food and service is great. As is the coffee. It’s pricey but i don’t mind paying a premium if I get the pro rata quality.

Was out with my mum and my 2 boys for a wonder round Morpeth town centre as (after many years of coming up to this area) I had never visited. Saw this place from the street and decided to treat them to lunch. I thought, due to the decor, it would be expensive and a snotty atmosphere. But it was far from all of that. The food was very reasonably priced, about £50 for lunch and drinks for the 4 of us and the staff were so welcoming and helpful with great service standards. The selection of food was fantastic and the quality of the food was great aswell. My youngest son (11) described the soup of the day, a tomato and basil soup, the best he's ever had. The interior is nice and modern with a very trendy instagramable vibe and the food presentation matches. I will definitely be stopping here for lunch on my way back up to my grand parents with my girlfriend on next years trip!!

This should be a 10/5 star review! Golden Wedding celebration for a party of nearly 50 guests. Far exceeded expectations in all aspects, we are very doubtful that we could have found a better venue. From the booking to the actual event, the service has been exemplary. Feedback from the guests was universally positive. Many thanks to Giovanni, Miguel and the whole team for such outstanding service.

Visited today while in Morpeth for the day, such a gorgeous cafe! We had the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwiches with the fig and honey jam, so so good! Had the Black Forest gateaux for dessert, honestly the best Black Forest I’ve ever had. So light yet still decadent and delicious. Lovely staff and service. Highly recommend

We would like to say a huge thank you to Giovanni and his fantastic team for making my daughter’s baby shower such a memorable and wonderful experience. From the amazing space, atmosphere, exceptional food … compliments from all who attended. I can personally recommend the afternoon tea .. amazing …. We can highly recommend this venue for anyone wanting to host a special event or just a lush coffee and cake ! Thank you again. Xx

Visited for the first time a few weeks ago. Atmosphere is great, staff always checking everything was ok. Service was fab slightly slow but understanding as it was packed, only issue I had was staff leaning over the back of the round chairs to clear dishes away and clearing table before everyone at the table was finished. The food was lovely, and I found it reasonably priced considering what I had ordered. Will deffo be back to try an afternoon tea and again when I saw the prices very reasonable I thought. Most places charge so much more.

A wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. We had the buffet menu with a great variety of delicious dishes, my daughter doesn’t like dressings on her salad or sandwiches so she had her own selection. The cafe was busy but the service was outstanding and nothing was too much for them. We were a party of 16 and we were all seated together, drinks and food were all served promptly. We were never hurried. A lovely end to our afternoon was a special plate for my Mum & Dad. Thanks you Grand Cafe Lollo for a lovely afternoon.
